Your Personal Brand needs a Hand. Part 1
Everyday that I wake up I get the opportunity to shape my personal brand. My day starts with reading, prayer, and meditation, followed by floor exercises, and then stretching and a cold shower. I usually skip breakfast and then head to one of my favourite cafes for a coffee, I get out my journal and spend time learning and reflecting on the day before. Every weekday I write down what I need to keep in front of me. This includes:
Clients
Mentees
Coachings
Connections
Events
Leads
By keeping these in front of me, it allows me to stay present in terms of what I need to do for each one.
To extend my personal growth, I like to prompt myself with some compelling questions, such as;
Where can I cast my purpose?
Who/what can I be grateful for?
How can I be a better person?
Who do I need to meet?
Who can I serve?
What can I Learn?
What do I need to do for the greatest Momentum? (My word for the year).
Write out my purpose: “To help people find purpose so they can accelerate growth, give back and inspire a legacy of effective influence.”
From this point I write out and review key tasks, appointments, and actions. All my appointments are logged in my google calendar. Often, I will take time to prepare questions for meetings and appointments.
This morning routine is essential for me to reinforce intentionality and consistent discipline. But that’s not all; It is vital for me to understand how I show up in my daily life.
“Your Personal Brand is more than your face”
The ability to show up doing the same thing consistently has a compounding effect. This effect multiplies over time and helps to keep focus, momentum, and mitigate distractions. The value in this is highlighted in the points below.
Setting the Tone:
Your morning routine is more than just a series of actions; it's a deliberate strategy to shape the trajectory of your day. The intentional choices during those first moments set the tone for the entire day and week ahead.
Know Your Audience:
In committing to keep what matters in front of you daily, you demonstrate a conscious effort to stay aligned with your purpose and to those you're committed to helping and building relationships with.
Intention in Growth:
Understanding what you need to be better in, for yourself and for others should always be part of your daily focus and routine. Prompts for personal growth are more than just a checklist; they're a roadmap of important characteristics that will help you in your personal brand success.
Elevating Your Image:
In cultivating your personal brand, recognize that your physical presentation and appearance is an essential part of the narrative of you. How you present yourself is just as important as how you behave and act, as long as its congruent to who you are and what you’re about.
My 5 Learnings:
