Your Personal Brand needs a Hand. Part 2

How self-aware are you? One of the greatest benefits to my personal brand has been the journey of self-discovery, this is, in knowing my strengths and values. These have provided me with a language to talk to and from. This is understanding how I show up and moreover how others see me showing up. What I have discovered over time is that I have been led and influenced by what others wanted from me, rather than understanding how I show up and where I add value. Now I know these, they help me navigate and orientate in life situations.

My Top 5 Clifton Strengths are:

Adaptability

People who are especially talented in the adaptability theme prefer to “go with the flow”. They tend to be “now” people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.

Maximiser

People who are especially talented in the Maximiser theme focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. They seek to transform something strong into something superb.

Arranger

People who are especially talented in the Arranger theme can organize, but they also have a flexibility that complements this ability. They like to figure out how all of the pieces and resources can be arranged for maximum productivity.

Communication

People who are especially talented in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters.

Includer

People who are especially talented in the Includer theme are accepting of others. They show awareness of those who feel left out and make an effort to include them.

 My personal values are:

·         Fun, Don’t take life too seriously

·         Family, Are a first priority

·         Freedom, Don’t be contained by rules and bureaucracy

·         Generosity, Give to a need

·         Wisdom, Speak it and grow in it

·         Leadership, Influencing is leading

When you can start living life in a way that it starts making sense to who you are and how you show up you can start to identify areas of growth.

Cultivate Self-Awareness:

Develop an in-depth sense of self-awareness by reflecting on how your strengths and values shape your daily behaviour and interactions. Ask trusted people what it’s like to be on the other side of you. Become curious about your undiscovered potential.  This will help you to make intentional choices, understand your impact on others, and foster genuine connections. You will also find that once you are more aware of yourself, others will be more aware of you.

Navigate Life with Purpose:

Apply self-discovery insights to navigate life situations with purpose, setting meaningful goals aligned with your strengths, values and passions. Having a sense of purpose enhances decision-making, provides direction in challenging situations, and contributes to a more fulfilling life. Also be aware of life’s demands and life’s seasons like raising a family or caring for a loved one. These may not align into your purpose but are essential things that need to occur. In either case don’t lose sight of your purpose.

Build a Personal Brand Framework:

Create a personal brand framework that encapsulates your purpose,  strengths, values, and self-awareness, to foster intentional living. A well-defined personal brand not only communicates who you are but also guides your actions, helping you stay true to yourself and stand out in both personal and professional environments. Consider the look that reflects the real you best.

My 5 Learnings:

  • I need to apply my unique talents to navigate challenges and enhance my effectiveness.

  • Having clarity of my personal values will guide me in  meaningful decision-making and actions.

  • Reflect more on how my strengths and values shape my behaviour.

  • My self-awareness needs to be monitored and managed

  • My strengths, values and self-awareness are key in moulding my personal brand.

Building your personal brand is not just a professional strategy; it's a representation of your authentic self. It communicates who you are and guides your actions, helping you stand out in both personal and professional realms. Consider your style and the uniqueness you bring to the table.
